Softball Clinics 2008

Basic Skills Clinic

The coaching staff will help each individual player become successful offensively by focusing on all components of hitting, slapping, bunting and base running. The clinic will also break down defensive strategies, fielding ground balls, fly balls, as well as position field work.

Pitching & Catching Clinic

This clinic educates athletes on pitching techniques to maximize their ability and help prevent injuries. Including mechanics, ball location, changing of speeds, and ways to increase velocity for pitchers. The catchers learn blocking and receiving, set-up and stance, throwing, and how to take control of the game.

Pitchers MUST provide their own catcher, and catchers must have a protective mask.

All campers will receive a t-shirt.

What to Bring
Campers should bring:
• Glove
• Athletic shoes (no cleats)
• Shorts/sweats
• T-shirt/long sleeve
• Bat (optional)
• Water bottle
• Catching gear (if applicable)
• Lunch or money for food

Concessions will be available during the lunch break from Noon-1pm.
