2011 Eagle Fall Instructional League
The coaching staff and players at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse would like to invite you and your teammates to participate in the area’s most comprehensive fall baseball instructional league.
The 2011 Eagle Fall Instructional League will take place on Sunday afternoons beginning on September 4, and concluding on October 9. Each Sunday will include 4 hours of on field baseball instruction. The League is set up for players in grades 9-12. We have designed the League to help you gain the fundamentals and learn the drills that will help you to reach your full potential as a baseball player. Each day of the League will be broken down into a fundamental skill session, along with live scrimmage situations that will help prepare you to have future success on the diamond. Each session will allow players to receive individual drill instruction along with competitive game situations.

The fees will be $150 for each participant. This includes 20 Hours of college level baseball instruction, a UW La Crosse baseball t-shirt, and a chance to share in the traditions of one of the premiere college baseball programs in Wisconsin.

The registration deadline is Friday, August 19.
Rain date is schedule for Sunday, October 16.
The Eagle Fall Instructional League will take place at the UW-La Crosse North Campus Baseball Field. North Campus Field features a high quality natural grass playing surface, two batting tunnels, two full bull pens, and a large open drill area that each participant will be able to take advantage of.
Each participant will need to bring the following items to each session: Baseball glove, bat, spikes, baseball pants, hat, athletic shorts, tennis shoes, supporter, cup, and a long sleeve shirt. Please mark your personal equipment so that all items can be identified.
The following is a breakdown of the League Schedule, and specific player focus of each session. Each session will allow players to receive individual drill instruction along with competitive game situations.
Sunday September 4 (check in 12:30, check out 5:00)
Players will focus on many offensive fundamentals during this session. Batting stance, proper swing path, bunting techniques and situational hitting will all be covered. Each player will participate in competitive game situations for approximately 1.75 hours.
Sunday September 11 (check in 12:30, check out 5:00)
Players will focus on many offensive fundamentals during this session. Batting stance, proper swing path, bunting techniques and situational hitting will all be covered. Each player will participate in competitive game situations for approximately 1.75 hours.
Sunday September 25 (check in 12:30, check out 5:00)
Now that the fundamentals have been covered, the players will apply them to situational defensive and offensive drills that will help them to make plays in a competitive situation. Each player will compete in a live game for approximately 1.75 hours.
Sunday October 2 (check in 12:30, check out 5:00)
Each player will have a chance to learn specific drills that will help them during the off season. We will help them to learn speed and agility drills, throwing and hitting drills, as well as some strength and conditioning exercises that will prepare them for the next season. Players will compete in live game situations for approximately 1.5 hours.
Sunday October 9 (check in 12:30, check out 5:00)
We will review all previously learned skills and drills, along with competing in a live game for
approximately 1.75 hours.
