Coaching Staff


Head Coach Chris Schwarz

Chris Schwarz is in his fourth seasonas UW-La Crosse head baseball
coach. He was named the 2006 WIACCoach of the Year. Schwarz was an
assistant coach at UW-L in 2003-04, and also played at UW-L. Schwarz was head baseball coach of the Manitowoc (Wis.) Bandits Semi-Professional Team from 2002-2003.



Assistant Coaches

Sean Gavaghan enters his seventh year as assistant with UW-L. He signed a professional contract following his collegiate career at the University of Richmond and playing for the U.S. National Team. He played in the Minnesota Twins and Milwaukee Brewers organizations from 1992-97.




Matt Blakeley enters his third season on the Eagles’ staff. A four year starter at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia, he set school records in doubles, games played and total bases. Prior to coming to UW-L, he spent four assistant coach at Adams-Friendship High School.




George Williams joins the camp staff as a guest instructor. He played professionally for nine years, and lead the Eagles team as Head Coach for 3 seasons (’02-’04). George’s highest expertise is catching, and offers a great knowledge of the game.
