Coaching Staff


Head Coach Chris Schwarz
Chris Schwarz is in his fifth season as UW-La Crosse head baseball coach. He was named the 2006 WIAC Coach of the Year. Schwarz was an assistant coach at UW-L in 2003-04, and also played at UW-L.



Assistant Coaches

Sean Gavaghan enters his seventh year as assistant with UW-L. He signed a professional contract following his collegiate career at the University of Richmond and playing for the U.S. National Team. He played in the Minnesota Twins and Milwaukee Brewers organizations from 1992-97.




Matt Blakeley enters his third season on the Eagles’ staff. A four year starter at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia, he set school records in doubles, games played and total bases. Prior to coming to UW-L, he spent four assistant coach at Adams-Friendship High School.




Current Players Also joining the camp staff will be current UW-L coaches and players. They bring their skill, knowledge and enthusiasm to give your child the best camp experience possible. Camper to instructor ratio will be at 5:1 or better for each camp.
